The cull of staff at Dundee United continued today when the departures of top scorer Scott McDonald and goalie coach Stuart Garden were announced.
Yesterday saw the Tangerines confirm 13 players had left and that the club were speaking to others about their futures.
That led to the news Australian international McDonald would not be offered a deal for next season.
The 34-year-old scored 16 goals in his one season at Tannadice, but it wasn’t enough to get United up to the Premiership. Given his age it was anticipated he would be allowed to move on.
More surprising is the news Garden is considered surplus to requirements, though it is an indication manager Csaba Laszlo is keen to put his own backroom team in place.
The next few days are set to see more of the men who failed to win promotion back to the Premiership axed.
