Dundee United are having a look at former Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni.
The 30-year-old French-born former Tunisian international has been training with the Tangerines for the past couple of days.
Significantly, although he is best known in Scotland for an eventful spell at Ibrox, the centre-half played under new Tangerines English chief scout Paul Sturrock when he was manager at Southend United.
As a free agent Mohsni could be signed up for the rest of the season, though manager Csaba Laszlo first wants to assess his fitness.
Mohsni hit the headlines during his time at Rangers when he was banned for seven matches after being sent off in a play-off clash with Motherwell in 2015.
He returned to France without playing another game in Scottish football.
