Dundee United may find Ray McKinnon’s departure comes with a hefty bill.
The club are currently negotiating McKinnon’s severance package after calling time on his 17-month tenure at Tannadice following two straight defeats.

There is also a very good chance that No 2 Laurie Ellis and director of football Darren Taylor, both of whom Ray brought with him when he left his previous job at Raith Rovers, also exit.
That could mean another hefty severance package being paid — the manager signed a three-year contract when he arrived in May last year.
