Ray McKinnon made it summer signing number five for Dundee United today when he captured striker Patrick N’Koyi.
The 27-year-old, who was born in the Congo, has spent most of his senior career in Holland and Romania.
Earlier the month it was reported he’d left Dutch outfit MVV Maastricht for Sukhothai FC in Thailand, but it seems that deal was not completed and N’Koyi has now made a swift return to the European game with the Tangerines.
Throughout his career N’Koyi has been a regular scorer at club level – his first European outfit was FC Eindhoven and after switching to Fortuna Sittard, in 2014 he moved to Romania.
There he had spell with Petrolul Ploiesti before switching to Rapid Bucharest for the 2015-16 campaign.
Last year he returned to Holland and Maastricht, hitting the back of the net eight times in 22 league appearances.
