Ex-Doncaster and Partick defender is on Dundee United’s radar

Dundee United may add defender Aaron Taylor-Sinclair to their squad for next season.

The 26-year-old Scot is available after being released by Doncaster Rovers at the end of last season.

Left-back Taylor-Sinclair started his career with Montrose before moving to Partick Thistle, for whom he made over 100 appearances between 2011 and 2014.

He then had a short spell at Wigan Athletic before switching to Doncaster in 2015.

The Aberdonian made almost 50 appearances in his first season there but, last term, injury meant he did not play until April and managed to take part in only four games in total.

That’s likely to mean, if the Tangerines do follow up their interest, he’ll be offered a trial during pre-season.

Tannadice boss Ray McKinnon is in the market for another left-back after Paul Dixon decided to seek pastures new, leaving Jamie Robson as the only recognised left-sided defender in the first-team dressing-room.
