Dutch defender Frank van der Struijk is set to join Dundee United over the weekend.
The 31-year-old is a former Willem II team-mate of summer signing Nick van der Velden, who recommended him to Tangerines boss Ray McKinnon.
Van der Struijk has impressed during a trial this week and it’s understood over the next couple of days he will sign a deal until the end of the season.
He has extensive experience of top flight football in Holland during two spells with Willem II and one at Vitesse Arnhem.
