Ray McKinnon is set to start two of his latest signings as Cowdenbeath come to Tannadice in the League Cup tonight.
And if international clearance comes through for Dutchman Nick van der Velden, it will be three.
Arrivals from Aberdeen, Willo Flood and Cammy Smith, are both expected to be in the home XI.
Flood missed Friday’s tie at Arbroath because of a hip injury but has fully recovered.
Having only trained once with his new team-mates, loan-signing Smith was on the bench at Gayfield.
He came on and was involved in setting up United’s goal, so can expect more game time against the Blue Brazil.
“Willo will be fit. He trained on Sunday and I was delighted with him,” said Ray. “He’s a really good football player, he knows how to play and is always in the right area.
“And you saw what Cammy brought when he came on the other night.
“He is another very good young player and you can’t have enough of them at the club.
“I’m very happy with the quality I’ve been able to add with the signing of these two and Nick.”
McKinnon is looking to build on the performance on Friday that saw the Tangerines dominate but pay the price for not taking their chances.
“I thought we passed the ball well and there were loads of overlaps,” he said.
“Toshney and Dixon got down the line and there was a lot of good stuff.
“We just needed that knowhow in the box to finish the chances off.
“I think match fitness is still an issue but the boys will have benefited from the game at Arbroath.
“I’m looking for us to build on what we did well down there.”
