The Tangerines had been holding talks with the 26-year-old and were at one stage close to agreeing a deal to bring him Tannadice. It’s understood, however, boss Ray McKinnon has withdrawn his offer of a contract to the Englishman whose previous clubs include Plymouth and Bury. Since taking over at Tannadice last month the manager has stressed he will only sign players he’s convinced are committed to playing for United. He will now pursue other options.
