Striker Muirhead leaves Dundee United

Dundee United have parted company with striker Robbie Muirhead just 15 months after splashing £150,000 to lure him from Kilmarnock.

The 20-year-old was snapped up by manager Jackie McNamara in the final hours of the January transfer window last year.

But he did not make a big impact at Tannadice, starting just seven games and scoring two league goals.

Early this season he was loaned out to Partick Thistle and did not make a single top team appearance after his return in mid-December.

That lack of activity has culminated in the club announcing today he’s left by mutual consent.
