Dundee United hand probe findings to SFA and SPFL detailing alleged racial abuse of Jeando Fuchs

Dundee United star Jeando Fuchs.

Dundee United believe they have corroboration that alleged racist language was used towards midfield star Jeando Fuchs during Saturday’s win over Ross County.

While United celebrated Ilmari Niskanen’s decisive goal against the Staggies, Fuchs was seen talking to the United bench, referee Don Robertson and fourth official Mike Roncone.

The Cameroonian internationalist reported hearing an alleged racist comment aimed in his direction from amongst the County support.

Jeando Fuchs was outstanding for Dundee United in the Ross County win.

County chief executive Steven Ferguson released a statement on Sunday claiming match stewards confirmed no racist language was used within chants aimed at Fuchs.

But Courier Sport understands United have received independent affirmation of Fuchs’ allegation – and they have submitted the findings of their investigation into the incident to the SFA and SPFL.

United boss Tam Courts backed his player after Saturday’s match by displaying a “Show Racism the Red Card” t-shirt on the Tannadice pitch.

And the club are continuing to stand firm behind their midfield star.
