Dundee United will play Peterhead at home after the draw for the third round of the Irn Bru Cup was made this afternoon.
The Tangerines, who are considering playing a “colts” or under-20s side in the competition, will welcome the Blue Toon on the weekend of September 3-4.
It will be a return to his former club for ex-United midfielder Jim McInally, the boss of the Balmoor side.
Brechin have been given a plum tie at home to Dunfermline, while the same goes for Forfar, who will host Championship leaders Raith Rovers.
East Fife have to travel to play Alloa Athletic.
