Dundee United’s supporters are getting right behind their promotion-chasing team in the Championship.
The Tangerines’ crowd of 7,048 at their 1-0 league win over Falkirk on Saturday was double the respective attendances at Premiership matches Motherwell v Ross County, Inverness Caley Thistle v Hearts and St Johnstone v Partick Thistle.
It was also almost four times the 1,853 that attended the Hamilton Accies v Dundee game.
United are averaging a very healthy 6,629 in the league and that is without having yet hosted title rivals Hibs and their large travelling support, with that fixture taking place at Tannadice on Friday, December 2.
The Tangerines’ league crowds so far have been: Queen of the South – 7,058, Ayr United – 6,427, Raith Rovers – 7,434, Morton – 5,829, Dumbarton – 5,979, Falkirk – 7,048.
