Dundee United boss Ray McKinnon has warned that Queen of the South are much better than their recent losing streak suggests.
The Doonhamers host the Tangerines at Palmerston tomorrow having lost their last three matches, poor form that has seen them slip from the top of the Championship to fifth spot.
Indeed, Queens have to go all the way back to September 17 for their last win in the league, at home to Raith Rovers.
Rovers got revenge for that result last Saturday when they sneaked home 1-0 against Gavin Skelton’s side thanks to a stoppage-time winner at Stark’s Park.
McKinnon watched that match on TV just hours after his own team’s single-goal success over Falkirk at Tannadice and he felt the Doonhamers were unlucky.
The United boss said: “I saw their game against Raith and they dominated but still got beaten 1-0.
“Stephen Dobbie had a few chances and I have to say they were all right in that game – a decent side.
“They are well organised so it will be a really tough game.
“Going down to Dumfries is always a difficult trip so we will need to play well.”
