Dundee United have confirmed the loan signing of striker Thomas Mikkelsen from Odense Boldklub until the end of the season.
The deal for the 26-year-old Dane is subject to international clearance and, if that is secured in time, the powerful forward will go straight into United’s squad for tonight’s top of the table clash with Hibs at Easter Road.
Manager Ray McKinnon said: “He is a strong, aggressive player who is good in the air and I think he will add goals here between now and the end of the season.
“He is fit and, subject to International clearance, will come right into the squad.”
Mikkelsen joined OB in 2014 from FC Fredericia. He has played 24 times for the top flight club, scoring four goals.
In 2015, he joined IFK Göteborg on loan before returning to his parent club in the summer of 2016.
This season he has featured in 14 games, scoring three times ahead of this loan period.
