Dundee United are set to complete the double-signing of Dylan Levitt and former Scotland and Hibernian striker Steven Fletcher.
Fletcher, 35, is a free agent after departing Stoke City earlier this summer.
Courier Sport understands he was in Dundee finalising a switch to Tannadice on Thursday afternoon and will pen a two-year contract.
Fletcher boasts 10 goals in 33 caps but has not plied his trade north of the border since leaving Easter Road for Burnley in 2009.
Since then, the vastly experienced front-man has turned out for the likes of Wolves, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday and even Olympique Marseille.
Courier Sport can also reveal that Levitt will join United on a permanent two-year deal after the Tangerines struck a six-figure deal with Manchester United.
Levitt scored six goals and claimed one assist during a dazzling campaign on loan with the Terrors last term.
That put the Wales international top of sporting director Tony Asghar’s list of summer targets, albeit interest in the player from Derby County and Cardiff City was well-documented.
Nevertheless, United have succeeded in sealing the deal.
Both players are expected to be part of United’s travelling party for the upcoming training camp in Spain when the flight departs on Sunday.
The pair will be boss Jack Ross’ first signings since replacing Tam Courts at the helm.
The club are also pursuing a loan deal for Wigan Athletic’s Jamie McGrath.
