Ross County 6 Dundee United 2: United suffer heavy defeat in Dingwall fog

Dundee United crashed out of the Scottish Cup after being thrashed by Ross County in the Dingwall fog.
The game was in doubt for a while, and how the United players will have wished it had been called off.
It only took County six minutes to open the scoring through Chris Routis.
The tie looked like being a close-fought one when United quickly levelled through Tony Andreu but within two minutes the hosts were in front again.
Paul Quinn was the man who made it 2-1 with a header.
It was three by the 28th minute when Tim Chow drilled a low shot home from 10 yards.
Just two minutes later Liam Boyce cut in from the right and made it four.
United gave themselves a bit of hope with a late first half strike, again from Andreu.
As United pushed for a third after the break, they were caught by a Routis goal on the counter and a horrible afternoon in the Highlands was completed by Jim O’Brien.
