RAB DOUGLAS: Far too early for Dundee United to hit panic button – and crazy Jack Ross resignation rumours don’t help

It’s great to see Leigh Griffiths signed up with a club down under and could make his debut this weekend.

He signed a short-term deal with Mandurah City in the third tier, joining up with our former teammate John Baird.

This is a great opportunity for him. He has got to play football and he’s still a reasonable age.

I think he likes to feel wanted and maybe a change in environment is the right thing for Leigh.

He could do well for himself but it depends on how much he wants it and how his fitness is.

Football, a lot of it, is about lifestyle and mentality now. Leigh has had his highs and lows.

In football there are probably more lows than highs but he’s got to bounce back if he wants to get back to a top level.

It will be interesting to see how he does over there. I certainly wish him well.
