Thomas Mikkelsen insists the best is yet to come from him in a Dundee United jersey.
The on-loan Odense striker opened his account for the club on Saturday with two of the three goals that secured victory over Raith Rovers at Tannadice.
The 27-year-old only joined the Tangerines last month and he admitted it has taken him time to get fully up to speed as he had not played for several weeks before coming to Scotland.
Now, though, after working hard on the training paddock he is hoping to receive his reward in the shape of further goals for the team.
Mikkelsen said: “Of course, it’s a relief to finally score a goal. I’ve come here to score a lot of goals.
“Before I came here, I hadn’t played a game for about four weeks.
“I had to find a rhythm again so to get it back is pleasing.
“I’ve been working hard in training on my fitness and think I’m getting there.
“Hopefully there are more goals to come.”
Meanwhile, Mikkelsen’s boss Ray McKinnon was full of praise for the striker.
He said: “I think he was lacking a wee bit of fitness to get up to our standard but he has worked hard the last two weeks and it was great for him against Raith.
“He is a real threat if you give him the right service in the box.
“He gives us a different option which we have been searching for. He is aggressive, he puts himself about and if you get crosses into the box he will get on the end of them – I am delighted for him.”
