Dundee United defender William Edjenguele has signed a two-year contract extension.
Manager Ray McKinnon has described the news as a “marvellous boost” as United seek to bounce back from Friday night’s defeat to Hibs and clinch promotion.
“We are very excited to keep a player and teammate like William in tangerine,” he said.
“This is a marvellous boost ahead of the run-in to the season’s end.
“William has impressed with his performance levels and durability, and we believe he is a significant fit within our plans to continually progress this club.
“He is a fantastic pro who is an asset to the team on the pitch and the dressing room and this is the start of my rebuilding process.”
Edjenguele has made 26 appearances for United, scoring two goals.
The 29-year-old Frenchman joined in the summer, after playing for a number of clubs, including Bury, Coventry City, Le Mans and Neuchatel Xamax.
