Dundee United set for English Championship test as Tangerines announce two Tannadice friendlies

Dundee United will cross swords with Swansea City this weekend as they step up preparations for the second half of the season.

The Swans, who defeated Hearts in a bounce game on Tuesday afternoon, visit Tannadice on Saturday.

It will represent swift return to Tayside for ex-Terrors academy director Andy Goldie, who is now occupying the same role in the south of Wales.

Former Falkirk midfielder Jay Fulton is a regular for the English Championship playoff hopefuls, while they are bossed by ex-Scotland and Rangers defender Russell Martin.

United, currently at the foot of the Premiership, then host Scottish Championship leaders Ayr United on December 10.

The Tangerines resume their league campaign on December 17 with a testing trip to Livingston.
