Dundee United’s first play-off match will be against Morton next Tuesday at Cappielow – if they fail to finish second.
The Tangerines are locked in a battle with Falkirk for runners-up spot in the Championship, with the Bairns a point ahead going into the final set of regulation season fixtures on Saturday.
United face the Greenock men away, while Falkirk head to Dumbarton.
Should Ray McKinnon’s men end up in the third place they currently occupy then they will head back to Renfrewshire three days later for the Premiership quarter-final opener before hosting Jim Duffy’s men in the return a week on Friday.
The play-off dates, which both have 7.45 kick-offs, have been changed in order to avoid a clash with Dundee’s home game against Ross County on Saturday 13th.
If United do finish third and then prevail over Morton, they would be scheduled to meet the Bairns in the first leg of the semi-final at Tannadice on Tuesday 16th.
Both that fixture and the return at the Falkirk Stadium on Friday 19th would be broadcast live on BT Sport.
To avoid another potential clash, Dundee’s home game Inverness Caley Thistle has been moved to Wednesday 17th (7.45pm).
Meanwhile, the play-off final remains as scheduled, with the legs played on Thursday 25th (7.45) and Sunday 28th (3pm), and BT Sport again showing both matches.
