Dundee United have handed themselves big boost ahead of the play-offs by signing James Keatings from Hibs on a two-year pre-contract.
The 25-year-old forward has agreed to join the Tangerines despite not knowing whether they will be playing Championship or Premiership football next season.
United kick-off their promotion bid down at Cappielow tomorrow night in the first leg of their quarter-final against Morton before the return at Tannadice on Friday night.
Keatings has given them a huge vote of confidence ahead of those crucial clashes and that should work wonders for their self-belief.
Keatings said: “I look forward to joining Dundee United.
“I have enjoyed playing at Tannadice and I know I am joining a fantastic club with a great reputation, who are set up to be in the Premiership.
“My goal is to be scoring in the Premiership for United whether it is next season or beyond.”
