The new Dundee United Supporters’ Foundation is “on the right path” following a successful launch.
The Foundation has been set up by United fans in order to help the club financially if or when members vote to release funds.
In return for cash injections estimated at £200,000 per annum, DUSF wants two seats on the Tannadice board.
The Foundation’s seven-strong steering group held a meeting in the city on Sunday to introduce themselves to the wider fanbase and host what was described as a lively question and answer session.
Over 100 United supporters attended the City Quay event and the next step will see the Foundation’s website, through which monthly donations and pledges will be made, go live tomorrow.
Martin Manzi, one of the steering group, said: “We were reassured that we are definitely on the right path and encouraged by the positive comments and support at the meeting.
“We will take on board the points made.
“The next challenge is to get the Foundation message out to the wider fanbase and that will start with the launch of our website on Wednesday.”
