Defending champions Dundee United have been drawn against Cowdenbeath in the IRN-BRU Cup first round draw.
The match will be played at Tannadice.
Dundee’s colts will host Alloa Athletic, while St Johnstone’s youngsters will face their Aberdeen equivalents at Pittodrie.
The first round ties are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 15 or Wednesday 16 August.
The competition has been expanded to include Irish sides such as Sligo Rovers and Linfield as well as Welsh teams such as TNS come into the competition at the second round stage.
The rewards have also increased, with prize money up by nine per cent, from £308,000 to £335,200.
