Goalkeeper Deniz Mehmet is to be offered a contract by Dundee United after impressing during his trial period.
Mehmet (24), who counts Falkirk and Port Vale among his former clubs, kept a clean sheet in the club’s friendly against Montrose last midweek then produced a string of decent saves in a closed-door match against Blackpool on Friday.
That appears to have persuaded Tangerines boss Ray McKinnon the Turk is worth a deal to become deputy to club captain Cammy Bell.
Meanwhile, United central defender Coll Donaldson has been on trial at English National League club Barrow and played for them in a friendly against Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.
