Dundee United midfielder Scott Fraser is facing an anxious wait to see if he has damaged his problematic foot.
Fraser hobbled off with 15 minutes to go of United’s win over Brechin at Tannadice on Saturday after feeling a “click” in the metatarsal that has given his trouble for most of the year.
He now faces a race against time to be fit for this weekend’s trip to Paisley to face St Mirren, while the Tangerines are desperately hoping it is not serious.
Manager Ray McKinnon said: “Scott felt a click in his foot and had to come off so we will need to have a look at it again.
“We are just hoping it is nothing too serious, just a bit of movement in his foot.
“Something similar happened during pre-season and he was back in a day or so. Hopefully, it’s the same this time.”
