Dundee United have confirmed the signing of 19-year-old striker Joe Piggott on a two-year-deal. Piggott is a product of Everton’s youth academy and played for Rochdale. He has been training with United recently and played as a trialist in a development game. Manager Ray McKinnon said: “Joe has impressed us in training. He is a strong lad and has high energy to complement his ability. “I have no doubt he has the potential to continue his development here and push for a spot in our first team squad in the future.”
