Dundee United took a big step backwards with a 2-0 defeat at Livingston that has dropped them down to fourth in the Championship table. The feel-good factor of East End Park last time out has evaporated after a performance that featured just one shot on target for Ray McKinnon’s men. United are now four points off top spot after St Mirren’s victory at Dumbarton. Livingston moved up to second. The hosts took an early lead when Daniel Mullen finished low past goalkeeper Harry Lewis from a tight angle. The second goal came on 76 minutes as Nikolay Todorov tapped in from close range. BBC pundit and former Hibs and Dundee striker clearly wasn’t impressed with United. He Tweeted: “First look at Dundee United live. As poor a performance I have seen this season. Unbelievably bad for the players they have on paper.”
