Former Hibs manager Alan Stubbs has reportedly turned down the chance to become Dundee United manager.
Stubbs, having publicly ruled himself out of the running to replace Ray McKinnon during a live TV broadcast of the Edinburgh derby last week, re-emerged as a possible appointee on Tuesday following movement in the betting market.
Now it is being alleged that he was offered the job over the weekend but turned it down, although United won’t be commenting on the managerial situation until they have finally got their man.
Former Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo, who has been interviewed and is due to return to Scotland from Hungary today, is still considered to be a frontrunner.
