Dundee United captain Willo Flood is likely to be sidelined until the New Year after dislocating his shoulder. The Irishman was at hospital for an X-ray yesterday and is now understood to be facing at least a month on the sidelines. Flood suffered the injury during stoppage-time at the end of the Tangerines’ 2-1 win over Dunfermline at Tannadice on Saturday. The shoulder popped out but was quickly put back in again before he was led away for more treatment. United boss Csaba Laszlo feared the worst at the time and he will now be without his midfield general for a crucial period of the season.
