Dundee United manager Csaba Laszlo has challenged his players to keep their promotion destiny in their own hands.
The Tangerines climbed back to the top of the Championship table last weekend thanks to a combination of their own win over Dunfermline and St Mirren’s shock defeat to Dumbarton.
They now head to Greenock this Saturday for a tricky-looking meeting with Morton before facing fixtures against Queen of the South, Livingston and the Buddies before the month is out.
Laszlo believes he will learn a lot about his players over this demanding December,
The United boss said: “We are really looking forward to our next game, especially as we are top of the table.
“We lost two points against Brechin but, on the other hand, got a good win over Dunfermline so we have to look ahead.
“We have tough away games coming up against first Morton then Queen of the South so to collect maximum points must be our target.
“It has been a while since we were top having played the same number of games as the teams below us so we have to make the most of that situation.
“Everything is in our own hands now.
“That is not necessarily an easy situation but it is interesting for me because we can now show our true face.
“You have to believe in yourself.”
