Dundee United midfielder Fraser Fyvie ruled out for the season

Dundee United will have to fight the rest of their promotion campaign without Fraser Fyvie after the influential midfielder was ruled out for the season with cruciate ligament damage.
It is a cruel blow to player and team on the eve of tomorrow night’s top of the table clash with St Mirren.
The usual recovery time for an injury like this is at least six months.
Fyvie fell to the floor clutching his knee in agony after challenging Livingston player Steven Boyd during Saturday’s 3-0 win at Tannadice.
A scan has now confirmed United’s worst fears.
