Dundee United confirm departure of head of football Darren Taylor

Dundee United’s head of football operations Darren Taylor has left the Tannadice club by mutual agreement.

Taylor’s departure follows the arrival of United legend Paul Sturrock as first club scout covering England then adviser to manager Csaba Laszlo.

The development should not be viewed as any kind of threat to Laszlo’s position.

He is under contract to the end of next season so is likely to remain in charge even if the Tangerines miss out on promotion through the play-offs.
