Dundee United have added “a proven goalscorer” by signing former Dunfermline hit man Nicky Clark.
The 26-year-old’s contract with the Pars expires this summer and United were among a number of clubs trying to secure his services.

After winning the race for his signature, manager Csaba Laszlo said: “I am very pleased to secure the signing of a proven goal scorer.
“Nicky has tremendous ability and in addition to scoring he is also very good at reading the game.”
Clark scored 21 goals in the season just past, and 16 the year before after arriving at East End Park from Bury.
He has signed a two-year deal, and said: “I am delighted to be joining a club of the stature of Dundee United and my main intention is to help the team get us up to the Premiership.
“I am really looking forward to this new challenge in my career.”
Earlier in his career Clark scored 42 goals in 45 appearances for Queen of the South, helping the Dumfries club gain a league and cup double.
He then moved on to Rangers where again he helped his side gain promotion.
