Former Dundee United boss Ray McKinnon has been confirmed as the new Morton manager.
The former Raith Rovers and Tangerines gaffer replaces Jim Duffy at Cappielow.
McKinnon, who has been out of work since being sacked by the Tannadice club back in October, has agreed a one-year rolling contract.
The Greenock side’s chairman Crawford Rae said: “I cannot tell you how delighted we are that Ray has agreed to join us.
“He was an absolute standout through the interview stages.
“Ray has had a number of offers and we are delighted that he has belief in us as it is very clear that he shares the same burning desire of returning Greenock Morton to the Premier League, the same passion that runs through everyone at the club.”
