Craig Easton has returned “home” after being named Dundee United’s new reserve team manager.
Easton, who appeared 259 times for the Tangerines during his playing career, has moved back to Tannadice from Rairth Rovers.
He was in charge of the Kirkcaldy club’s development squad and led them to consecutive SPFL Development League East titles.
Easton said it was a difficult decision to leave Stark’s Park but he couldn’t resist the lure of his first club.
He said: “It’s been a really difficult decision to leave Raith Rovers, where I’ve had two of my most enjoyable years in football.
“However, the opportunity to come back to the place where it all began for me and to take on a new challenge at an exciting time for everyone involved, was one I couldn’t turn down.
“Whenever I come back to Tannadice, it feels like home and I can’t wait to give something back to the youth system that played a major part in my career and started my professional football journey.”
