Dundee United have appointed Scott Robertson as their new Under-18 coach.
One of the club’s 2010 Scottish Cup-winning heroes, the 33-year-old has also starred for Dundee, Blackpool, Hibs and most recently Raith Rovers where he combined playing with working as a first-team coach.
Robertson has now hung up his boots to fully concentrate on his coaching career with United where he will work closely with Craig Easton, who also left Raith this summer to become United’s new reserve team manager.
Robertson said: “I am delighted to be back at Tannadice. The job is a fabulous opportunity for me to work with young, upcoming talent and help Dundee United produce first-team players from the Academy pathway.
“I look forward to continuing my working relationship with Craig Easton also and thank Raith Rovers for allowing me the opportunity to progress my coaching career, and I cannot wait to get started.”
