Dundee United have been drawn against Alloa in the second round of the Irn-Bru Cup.
The Tangerines will be happy that they avoided the teams from outwith Scotland in today’s draw, which was made at Gretna Green with a nod to the English clubs that have been invited into the competition for the first time.
Dunfermline were not so lucky and they face a long trek to Hertfordshire to play Boreham Wood.
Raith Rovers also face a long trip but not quite as bad a one as the Pars, with the Kirkcaldy men off north to Dingwall to play Ross County.
Dundee’s colts, meanwhile, will host Motherwell’s youngsters, while East Fife will welcome Partick Thistle.
Arbroath are at home to Annan, Montrose travel to Dumbarton and Forfar could be heading over the Irish Sea to meet Sligo Rovers if they get through against Livingston’s colts.
The games will take place on the weekend of September 8 or 9.
