Dundee United have been linked with Algerian central defender Rachid Bouhenna.
The French-born player is currently at MC Alger in Algeria’s Ligue 1 but a report in La Gazette de Fennec in the African country claimed the Tangerines are interested in bringing him to Scotland.
It is also stated that the 27-year-old can leave MC Alger for nothing due to a clause in his contract.
Bouhenna has played for the Algerian national team at under-23 level and his previous clubs include Doncaster Rovers and French side Compiegne.
United boss Csaba Lazlo is looking to add both a central defender and creative midfielder to his squad before the transfer window closes.
