Dundee United striker Nicky Clark is unlikely to return until the New Year, manager Robbie Neilson has revealed.
The former Rangers and Dunfermline striker hasn’t featured since a home match against Alloa on November 20, a game in which he scored.
He is expected to step up his recovery from an Achilles injury this week but a return to first team action is not imminent.
“He’ll start running next week and then we’ll need to build him up slowly,” said Neilson.
“It was an Achilles problem that escalated so we had to take him out.
“He’s probably another three weeks away from playing.
“It’s been a tough season. We miss his quality in games like this (Saturday’s draw against Inverness Caley Thistle) – his movement, link-play and runs in behind.
