In light of their draw with Falkirk over the weekend, Dundee United will be looking for a win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in tonight’s Scottish Championship match.
Since Caley Thistle’s relegation to the league last season, United have faced tough competition from the Pride of the Highlands. If their previous Championship clashes are anything to go by, fans should expect an entertaining game at Tannadice tonight.

2018/19 Season
Scottish Championship – 15/02/2018
Inverness CTÂ 1-1Â Dundee Utd
With a masterful set-up from Liam Polworth, Tom Walsh’s early goal for Caledonian Thistle provided John Robertson’s team with a deserved lead for the majority of the game. However, Dundee United’s Billy King equalised in the 76th minute, depriving his former team of a win in the process.
Scottish Championship – 20/10/2018
Dundee Utd 1-1 Inverness CT
United had multiple attempts before half-time but couldn’t break the deadlock, meaning Pavol Safranko’s 55th-minute header was very much welcomed at Tannadice. Jordan White equalised with a header, less than 20 minutes later. Multiple bookings -including a red card given to former United man Coll Donaldson – indicated the type of game fought out by the sides.
2017/18 Season
Scottish Championship – 27/03/2018
Inverness CTÂ 1-0 Dundee Utd
It has been almost a year since either United or Inverness have celebrated a league win against the other. Luck was not on the Tangerines’ side last season, with Caley Thistle securing their win with Aaron Doran’s goal just before half-time.
Scottish Championship – 17/03/2018
Dundee Utd 1-1 Inverness CT
Another draw at Tannadice between the two teams. Caley took the lead through Iain Vigurs’ header before half-time. Thomas Mikkelsen equalised on the 64th minute for United. Vigurs – receiving a yellow card earlier in the game – defended his title as the player with the most bookings throughout the season.
Scottish Championship – 21/07/2017
Dundee United 0-2 Inverness CT
Vigurs and Connor Bell guaranteed Caley Thistle another win against Dundee United early in the game.
Scottish Championship – 05/08/2017
Inverness CT 0-1 Dundee Utd
United have not won a league game against Caley since the start of last season. A harsh tackle by Brad McKay gave Paul McMullan a penalty on the 13th minute, which the midfielder went on to score.
