Robbie Neilson has spoken of his frustration at Osman Sow’s “stop-start” Dundee United career so far.
The former Hearts man made his first start since signing at the end of the January transfer window against Partick Thistle on Saturday but only lasted 20 minutes before a calf injury forced him off.
Neilson was impressed with what he had seen up to that point but hasn’t yet put a timescale on when he expects to have the 28-year-old available again.
He reported: “It’s very disappointing. It’s been stop-start trying to get Osman going and he keeps breaking down here and there.
“But we just need to persevere with him and try to help him through it.
“I thought he started extremely well, he was linking the game and causing them a lot of problems.
“Then he tweaked his calf a wee bit and we had to take him off.”
