Dundee United leave it late for vital 2-1 win against Alloa

Dundee United moved within five points of Ross County – but they left it late for their victory against Alloa.
Nicky Clark was the hero for the Tangerines with an 83rd minute strike that secured a precious win.
It was his 12th goal of the season and means that the Tannadice side will have a chance to put even more pressure on County – who were playing in the IRN BRU Cup final – by closing to two points if they follow this result up against Dunfermline in midweek.
United were behind after just seven minutes.
Benjamin Siegrist failed to deal with a corner and Jordan Kirkpatrick cashed in.
It was 1-1 at half-time, thanks to an Alloa own goal.
The match looked as if it might peter out into a draw that suited the visitors far more than the hosts until Clark finished off a Callum Booth cross with a back post winner.
