The first Dundee derby of the new Championship season is scheduled to take place at Tannadice on Saturday, August 31. Dundee United will host neighbours Dundee in the opening city clash, although the fixture is likely to be moved to the previous evening for TV. The first Dens derby is due to take place on November 9 but, again, the broadcasters are set to intervene. The relegated Dark Blues kick off their campaign to get straight back up to the top flight with a match away to Dunfermline on August 3. The Tangerines start with a home game against Inverness Caley Thistle. Arbroath will celebrate their promotion with a curtain-raiser against Queen of the South at Gayfield. In the Premiership, St Johnstone face the toughest of opening days with a trip to face champions Celtic. Their first home game is against Livingston.
