Dundee United got their pre-season underway with a 1-1 draw against East Fife.
United fell behind in 18 minutes when a Scott Agnew corner was headed into his own goal by new boy Liam Smith.
The Tangerines should have been on level terms three minutes later but Cammy Smith hit his shot too close to East Fife keeper Brett Long when he was one v one.
On the half-hour Chris Duggan cut inside Mark Reynolds and forced a save out of Benjamin Siegrist.
United finished the first half strongly, with Scott Banks impressing. He had two shots saved and there was also a Mark Connolly effort cleared off the line.
Robbie Neilson put out a completely different team for the second half and midway through it Nicky Clark made it 1-1 when he found the net from close range after being set up by Louis Appere.
Kevin Smith came close for the hosts, as did United’s Logan Chalmers but neither side could find a winner.
A match that started in glorious sunshine finished with thunder, lightning, pouring rain and the floodlights on.
