Dundee United manager Robbie Neilson has confirmed that the calf injury which prevented his new left-back Adrian Sporle from making his debut at the weekend is not a serious one.
The Tannadice boss decided not to risk the Argentinian against East Fife on Saturday but he expects Sporle to be in United colours against Brechin City on Friday night.
“He trained on Friday morning and started to tighten up in his calf towards the end of the session,” said Neilson.
“It wasn’t worth taking a risk.
“You have to remember he flew half way round the world and then came straight into training.
“Harkes should be available on Friday as well and Pawlett will be a couple of weeks after that.”
