Dundee United will today unveil Adam King as their latest summer signing, Courier Sport can reveal.
The 23-year-old former Swansea City and Hearts midfielder has been training with Robbie Neilson’s squad and featured in the pre-season friendlies at Brechin and Dumbarton.
The younger brother of Billy King left Tynecastle for a fee of £200,000 as a 17-year-old. He made the bench for some Premier League matches with Swansea but never played in the league.
He has spent time on loan at Crewe, Southend, Mansfield and Peterborough.
King’s contract with United is for three seasons and he will go straight into Neilson’s squad for the Betfred Cup opener against old club, Hearts.
