Former Dundee United loan striker Pavol Safranko has teamed up with his old boss Csaba Laszlo in Romania.
The Slovakian international has joined OSK Sepsi, who have been managed by ex-Tannadice gaffer Laszlo since May.
There will be another familiar face at Safranko’s new club, with former Tangerines central defender Rachid Bouhenna having also moved to Sepsi.
Current United boss Robbie Neilson had wanted to turn Safranko’s loan deal into a permanent one but his parent club Aalborg were holding out for the best part of one million euros for him, a figure the Tannadice men were not prepared to pay.
That price tag even scared off Aberdeen and a number of clubs in England.
Now, though, Safranko’s switch to Sepsi has been confirmed and will see him work for Csaba for a third time having also played under him at Dunajska Streda in his native Slovakia.
