Arbroath have signed 18-year-old midfielder Connor Smith on loan from Hearts.
Gayfield gaffer Dick Campbell has recruited Smith until January after the player impressed during the Jam Tarts’ pre-season schedule, scoring against Edinburgh City in a friendly last Friday.
Smith was on loan at Cowdenbeath last season and has played for the Tynescastle first team, making his debut in a game against Kilmarnock in May 2018. He has also captained Scotland’s under-17 side.
The Championship club said: “Arbroath FC would like to thank Heart of Midlothian Football Club and head coach Robbie Neilson for allowing Connor to make the loan move to Gayfield.”
