St Johnstone have joined the race to secure Inverness Caledonian Thistle right-back Shaun Rooney on a pre-contract agreement.
Dundee have identified the defender as a target for next season and Courier Sport understands that Saints have done the same.
The 23-year-old, who previously played for Queen’s Park, Dunfermline, York City and Queen of the South, has impressed in the Championship this year for John Robertson’s side.
Tommy Wright’s current right-back, Anthony Ralston, is only at McDiarmid Park on a season-long loan from Celtic.
